Hopelessness by Jane Hachem

Hopelessness

“Masculin féminin”, or “un homme qui dort” or even “la chinoise”. Movies with sentences that make yourself wonder. Are you hurting? Are you isolating yourself from every single thing surrounding you?

Lies intensifying

Cries with a mix of hopeful smirks

Screams getting louder

Silent tears

But an obvious fear

It might be all over soon but a mark will remain whether it is visible or not, physical or just engraved in your so cold hearted self

We are all leaving somehow perhaps some not just mentally

We are getting out of this misery one step at a time,

Each one its own path.

I won’t be holding your hand along the way

Because you once told me you couldn’t

Do I remind you of past nightmares?

Nightmares that are in reality desires, fantasies, love, lust and hope.

You are one and I two.

But this time it is not only the system’s dirty work

But also our decisions

A decision you take when you don’t feel like being connected to this person anymore nor feel its existence ever again.

Let them vanish off of their useless thrones like we both vanished from each other’s lives.

Let them remain powerless because

What is power without control?

What is control without respect?
